– This year the Rolla Mostar half marathon will gather 1,650 runners from 58 countries of the world, which is a record at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at 12 o’clock there is the HT Eronet – a humanitarian race of citizens where 1,500 runners will also participate in the four kilometer long race – confirmed the president of the MRW Organizing Committee Franjo Lovrić.
Let us remind you that last year the Kenyans celebrated, but this year they were late in registering.
This year, the fight for first place will be fought between regional runners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
As announced, police officers will be deployed along the route of the half-marathon and the humanitarian race to ensure the smooth running of the event, the safety of all participants, and the regulation of traffic on alternative routes.
As a reminder, Ulica kardinala Stepinac is closed from Friday evening until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The closure applies to both road lanes, namely on the section from the intersection with Ulica Splitska – kneza Višeslava to the intersection with Ulica Ante Starčevića.
This Saturday, therefore, in the period from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the following streets will be completely or partially closed: Ulica od mosta u Vojno do Raštan, Ulica II. bojne Rudničke, Ulica Rudarska, Novi most, where traffic will flow alternately in one lane, Ulica kralja Tomislava, Ulica kralja Zvonimir, Ulica kralja Tvrtko, Ulica Nikola Šubića Zrinjsko, Španjolski trg, Ulica hrvatski varnitelja, Ulica NGM over the Hasan Brkića bridge, Ulica Gojko Vukovića, Ulica Stari pazar, Lučki most, Ulica maršala Tita, Ulica Husa Maslića, Ulica brače Fejića, Bunur Bridge, Adema Buće Street, Mostarski Bataljon Street, Marshal Tito Bridge, Musala Square, Lacina Street, X. Herzegovačke Brigade Street, Customs Bridge and Cardinala Stepinac Street to the “Mepas Mall” shopping center.

Visitors and participants of the 10th Mostar Run Weekend will be able to see the jump from the Old Bridge at 1:30 p.m., while the evening program includes the theatrical play “The Bear” by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, performed by Marko Cindrić, in the Mostar National Theater starting at 7:00 p.m., and admission is free.
The evening will continue with a concert in OKC Abrašević starting at 9:00 p.m., where Tajna veza and Antonija Batinić will perform, with a repertoire of the best domestic and foreign rock hits. The concert is free.
“The anniversary 10th edition of the Mostar Run Weekend confirms that this event goes beyond sports, combining humanity, culture and an attractive tourist program, offering all visitors the best that Mostar has to offer,” said the organizers.
