In the state of Michigan in the USA, there was a chain collision involving more than 100 vehicles on Monday because of the ice, the local police said.
Michigan State Police said about a dozen people were injured but no one was killed in crashes on the highway in Hudsonville, near Grand Rapids. Due to the incident, part of the highway was closed for several hours.
Temperatures were extremely low on Monday, January 19, and traffic problems were caused by ice and heavy snow, which reduced visibility. Motorists are advised to avoid traveling in the area, ABC reported.

Indiana State Police, a neighboring state, reported multiple vehicles were involved in the crash on the Indiana Toll Road as well. Both directions, east and west, were closed, but have since reopened.
