The Federal Minister of Education and Science Jasna Durakovic was in his working visit to Zenica-Doboj Canton where she visited the Higher Technical School in Tešnji and Primary School “1. March in Jelah.
From the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, it was announced that Tešanj Minister Duraković talked to the administration and teaching staff during the current challenges in education, working conditions, and activities implemented with the aim of improving the school environment.
They add that as an example of a good practice, the project “Be active, sports us, violence, which was implemented within the Program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science with the aim of preventing violence in educational institutions in the BiH Federation. This project shows that through education, sports and communion can be acted preventively against peer violence.
– Student projects such as this strong contribute to creating a safe, healthy and motivating school environment. Through such initiatives, children not only learn, but also change their communities for the better. The Ministry continues to provide strong support to educational institutions in Zenica-Doboj Canton, where only in 2024. years are more than 275,000 KM for different projects and activities – said Minister Durakovć.
She called all schools, institutions and organizations to actively involve this year’s public calls of the Ministry in the field of education and science.
Minister Duraković also visited the elementary school “1. March” in Jelah, which is the teaching of instructional classes for students from the settlement of the Vrbanj in the Municipality of Kotor Varoš. On this occasion, the Minister Joined the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Mirza Mushi.
– Instructive teaching is realized thanks to many years of cooperation, these two ministries, and only in 2024. The Federal Ministry of Education and Science allocated 150,000 KM for its implementation. This activity is extremely important for preserving children’s rights to education in their mother tongue and contributes to the provision of equal access to education for each child – said Minister Duraković.
In the school 2024/2025. Instructional classes attend 35 students arranged in eight departments, and teachers are performed by 11 teachers, of which they travel more daily and more than 90 kilometers to enable quality teaching to children from Vrbanjac. Such commitment to teachers, but also the institutions supporting this classes, once again confirms the importance of the conditions for the realization of the rights of children in their mother tongue – especially where the support is the most needed, the Federal Ministry of Education and Science.
