Široki Brijeg continued its positive streak in the spring part of the season. On his home turf, he won against Sloga with a score of 1-0 in the 23rd round. Mato Stanić scored the only goal in the match in the 62nd minute.
This is Široka Brijeg’s third win after the break. In the domestic championship, they still have a draw from the last round against Zrinjsko, a the only defeat in the new year they entered the Cup match against Velež in Mostar.

I congratulate the Široki Brijeg team and my colleague on the victory. The match was toughcompetitive and loaded with results, especially from our side. We wanted to control the game as much as possible, we know how dangerous they are opened great the second part of the season. We tried adapt to them and I think we succeeded in that quite a bit and in general they didn’t create many chances, neither did we. After the game, the head of the club from Pecara, Damir Milanović, said that they respected Sloga, which is a good team.
It was a tough game. We were preparing for a positive result, and for me a positive result is a point, and the normal thing is that we went for three and thanks to the guys who really threw on the head. These are heroes and dear God rewarded us with that one goal where we took three very important points, said Milanović after the victory.
