Former world boxing champion in multiple categories Floyd Mayweather (48) will return from retirement this year for his first official fight in almost a decade, although his opponent is not yet known.
Mayweather retired from boxing in 2017, never lost in 50 fightsalthough since then he has also appeared in several exhibition fights.
I still have what it takes to achieve more boxing recordssaid Mayweather, an American nicknamed Money, who was known for his speed and boxing skills, especially his spectacular dodging skills. It will be his fourth return from retirement, after previous departures in 2007, 2015 and 2017.
He used to be the highest paid athlete in the worldearning $300 million in 2015, according to Forbes.
Mayweather, who turns 49 on Tuesday, announced exhibition fight against another boxing legend, his countryman Mike Tyson. Neither the date nor the venue have been announced yet.

Mayweather, named the best fighter of the 21st century by The Ring magazine earlier this year, has won world titles at super featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, welterweight and super welterweight in a stellar career that began in October 1996.
