French President Emmanuel Macron announced after a devastating rocket attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumi, in which at least 31 civilians were killed, including two children.
Macron pointed out that Russia knowingly decided to continue the war, despite the attempts by US President Donald Trump to diplomatically affect the deesculation.
“This morning two Russian missiles hit the Sumi city, including children. And now it is to continue to continue, completely ignoring human lives, including those President Trump,” Macron said.
He added that France continues to advocate the interruption of the aggression and standing with Ukraine.
“Our goal is clear and share it with partners – help Ukraine to defend. We provide unwavering support to victims, wounded and the entire nation that is fighting.”
Russian media announced that the attack was performed using two ballistic missiles type Iskander.
