Girona coach Michel Sanchez said on Saturday that Croatian football goalkeeper Dominik Livaković is no longer with the team in an agreement with the club because he is “solving his future” during the winter transfer window.
The only priority is tomorrow’s gameMichel said at a press conference ahead of Sunday’s match with Mallorca in the Spanish championship.
Livaković, who has not trained with Girona in recent days, is not on the scoresheet for that game.
He is absent with the permission of the club in order to solved his futurethe coach said.

On Friday, the winter transfer window began, during which it is expected the return of the 30-year-old Livaković to the Turkish Fenerbahceafter not making a single appearance for Girona, to which he was loaned, since the summer.
Livaković has a signed contract with the Catalans until the summer, but he wants to leave because Michel puts 33-year-old Paulo Gazzaniga between the goals, not him. The Croatian national team goalkeeper is now looking for a new destination where he would defend and be ready for the World Cup, which starts in six months.
Fenerbahce brought the Brazilian national team goalkeeper Ederson from Manchester City this summer, so it is likely that they will send Livaković on a new loan or sell him. Among the interested clubs is Dinamo Zagreb, where Zadranin played from 2016 to 2023.
Girona ranks 18th among the 20 teams in the Spanish championship.
