The American basketball great, 41-year-old LeBron James, in the 127-113 home victory of the Los Angeles Lakers against the Cleveland Cavaliers, achieved a new NBA record by becoming the player with the most victories in his career when both the league part and the playoffs are added up.
For James this was it 1229. career success which separated him from another Lakers legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, with whom he was tied for only one day.
James achieved a new record against “his” Cavaliers, where he spent 11 seasons during his career, from 2003 to 2010 and from 2014 to 2018. In this victory, he added 14 points, six assists and five rebounds.

The Lakers were led by the great Luka Doncic who returned to the team after a one game suspension. He scored 42 points with 12 assists and thus reached 15,000 points in his career.
Dončić is the third youngest player in NBA history with such a performance, only James and Kevin Durant were younger. With the Cavs, Jarrett Allen was the most effective with 18 interceptions.
With their 50th win of the season, the Lakers solidified themselves in third place in the Western Conference with a 50-26 win-loss record, while the Cavs are fourth in the East with 47-29.

Detroit Pistons secured the title of Central Group winners, their first since 2008, with a 127-116 home victory against Toronto Raptors.
Jalen Duren was excellent for the home team with 31 points and 9 rebounds, Daniss Jenkins followed him with 21 assists, while the best players for the guests were RJ Barrett with 24 and Brandon Ingram with 22 hits.
In 2008, when they won the Central Division for the last time, the Pistons made it past the first round of the playoffs for the last time, when they were stopped by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern finals, and there is a great possibility that these two clubs will meet again this year at that stage of the season, considering that they hold the first two places in the conference.
The Pistons are the convincing leader in the East with a 55-21 record, while the Raptors are sixth with 42-33.
