In a statement published on the page of the Foreign Affairs, Lavrov said that Russia was committed to finding a peace solution for a war that lasts longer than three years.
He also accused Ukraine for the attacks of drones on Russian targets for several days, with the victims and interrupted air traffic. In his opinion, European countries encouraged Kiev to launch attacks to undermine the peace efforts of the US President Donald Trump.
Russia and Ukraine, on Friday, were all released by 390 prisoners and said that they would release more prisoners in the coming days, according to the initiative agreed by Russian and Ukrainian officials in Turkey last week.
“We are still committed to the peace solution. We are always open for conversations and I want to emphasize that we are committed to agreements that have recently been agreed in Istanbul,” Lavrov said.
“We are actively working on the second part of the Agreement calling for each party to prepare a draft document with the conditions needed to reach a reliable, long-term solution.”
“As soon as the prisoner exchange is concluded, we will be ready to give the Ukrainian side a draft of such a document that the Russian side ends now.”
Lavrov said that the increase in Ukrainian attacks were sent, 800 in Russian targets, “direct consequence of the European Union countries, whose leaders have recently visited Kiev.
“This is an obvious attempt to distract peace talks to undermine the progress made in Istanbul after the agreement between the President of Russia and the United States. We will continue working regardless of possible provocations.”
