The long-announced boxing duel between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul took place in Miami, and the victory was impressively won by the former world champion from Great Britain.
Although there were doubts before the match, especially due to the fact that the fight was organized by Netflix, there was no doubt in the ring, Joshua showed from the very beginning who the real boxer is.
The Brit opened the match aggressively, constantly applying pressure and not allowing Paul to swing. The American managed to withstand the blows until the fifth round, when the fight was practically broken.
In that round, Joshua sent Paul to the floor twice, hinting that the end was very close. Already in the sixth round, the referee counted Paula again, and after the fight continued, Joshua connected a strong series of blows, which he concluded with a precise right hook for the final knockout.
Joshua thus fulfilled the promise made before the match, and experts have previously pointed out that such an outcome would be expected if the fight is real, given the huge difference in height, strength and experience.
For Jake Paul, this was only his 14th professional fight and his second defeat against an active boxer, after he had previously lost to Tommy Fury.
On the other hand, Anthony Joshua further improved his record to 29 wins and four losses, with as many as 26 knockout victories.
