Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev, who was assassinated, is conscious, and doctors cautiously state that he is out of danger, medical sources told TASS.
“The operation was successful. After it, Alekseev was put into an artificial coma, and now he has woken up and is conscious.
At this moment, with caution, it can be said that the danger to life has passed,” said the interlocutor of the agency.
The assassination of Alekseev was carried out on February 6 in an apartment building on the Volokolamsky highway in the northwest of Moscow.
An unknown person shot at him several times.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated criminal proceedings for attempted murder and illegal trafficking of firearms.
