Israel said it launched a wave of strikes in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Monday, targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia group.
– The IDF has launched attacks on Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure in Beirut – the army said in a brief statement.
One strike hit the southern suburbs of Beirut on Monday, AFPTV footage showed, after Israel issued a warning to residents of the Hezbollah stronghold to evacuate.

It is the first strike since Friday in the area, which has now been largely deserted since Israel began frequent airstrikes against Hezbollah in early March.
