Hezbollah’s activities in the mentioned locations constitute a violation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and that movement, according to the statement of the Israeli army.
Residents of the surrounding areas reported loud explosions, and Lebanese security forces told the German agency that the Israeli air force had carried out at least two strikes. So far, there are no reports of casualties.
Under the agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, which is in force since November 2024, the Lebanese movement must disarm. The key deadline for disarmament, which is in charge of the Lebanese army, expired at the end of December.
Israel accuses Hezbollah of trying to regroup and rearm, which is why its army attacks its northern neighbor’s territory almost daily.
