The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Karim Khan was suspended from the Duty to investigate the United Nations about his alleged “misconduct sexual nature”, is learned on Friday from the Source of the Court.
The source from the prosecutor’s office said that a statement was later expected about Khan’s departure on a paid vacation.
The application for sexual offenses, but Khan denies the charges against him.
After the accusations, ICC staff and several NGOs called on Khan to temporarily depart from office until the investigation lasted, but refused to do so.
According to sources, the investigation was launched in December, and Khan talked to investigators last week.
For now, it is not known when the investigation will be concluded, which will be the outcome of the investigation and what will mean.
It is also not known who will take over his job in the ICC, a court who found himself under the sanctions of the American administration.
In May last year, Khan filed a request for arresting the highest leaders of Israel and Hamas, which his team suspected that they committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.
