HŽRK Zrinjski Mostar thanked the City of Mostar for its continuous support in the Budget for 2026, noting that last year’s inclusion of the club in the budget allocations was an important turning point. The club emphasizes that institutional support brings them more stable working conditions and an additional incentive for the further development of women’s handball.
As announced by the club, during the year 2025, the City of Mostar included for the first time after a long period HŽRK Zrinjski Mostar into budget allocations, which – they point out – confirmed their value of many years of work, effort and sports results.
Like the most trophy-winning women’s sports team in the City of Mostar and one of the most trophy-winning handball clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, believe that this kind of support represents and additional recognition their sporting successes and continuous work through all these years.
Today, in 2026, we can proudly say that this support was not a one-time event, but represents the foundation for the stable development of the club. Thanks to the institutional support of the City, they were made possible for us better working conditions and additional opportunities for progress in development and strengthening of the club’s overall organizational structurethey said from the club.
They thanked Mayor Marija Kordić and the City Council of the City of Mostar, who recognized the importance of investing in sports and continued to support the club.
We especially want to highlight the role city councilor Marko Novakwho through his involvement was one of the main advocates the need for systematic support for sports teams, including our clubsaid from HŽRK Zrinjski Mostar, adding that they will continue to work dedicatedly on the development of women’s handball, promotion of sports values and worthy representation of the City of Mostar at all levels of competition.
