Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) presented the presenters of the upcoming show “Americana”, which will cover all events related to the World Cup – North America 2026 – Marko Šapita and Valentina Miletić.
A new football show is starting to air June 10th on the Second Program of Croatian Television (HRT-HTV2) and will last 40 days, until the end of the championship, and the duo in the studio in Zagreb will guide viewers through all the most important events during the championship, and with the help of commentators and guests, they will create the atmosphere.
Our idea is for “Americana” to be an evening show, it will start around 20:00 and follow that central game starting around 9 p.m., with some exceptions. Of course, all matches are broadcast live, some on HTV2, some on HRTiannounced Marko Šapit, who is also the leader of this project at to HRT.
He also adds that it is about historical championship because an ever larger number of national teams will participate in it, 48 of themwith also the highest number of competition days so far, 39, and only five days off.
It is about a total of 104 gameswhich will be broadcast by HRT. We will try to be informative, of course, dedicated to ours, we hope that Croatia will stay in this tournament as long as possible. We will also be fun, Šapit pointed out.
Special reinforcement and refreshment on the small screens of this championship will be Valentina Miletić, sports reporter and presenter.
This is for me a big challenge because until now I have not had the opportunity to work on a project that carries such weight. When we talk about SP then it is absolutely certain the greatest possible privilege and honor. No matter how difficult and challenging it is, primarily due to the big time difference and the expectations of the public, which will be high, we should all be aware of the privilege we have to be in that studio at all and to have the opportunity to follow our national team at such a competitionMiletić said.
She adds that Šapit has already felt it, while it will be her first time.
I can’t wait for it all to start, I’m very excited, that’s what I was a child’s wish and this will make my dream come true, said Miletic.
Although the Croatian matches will be played later or at night due to the time difference, Miletić believes that this will not be an obstacle.
I think so no one will have a problem staying awake longer when it comes to the Croatian national football team, what we can promise the viewers is that we will do our best to make the best possible show. Of course, we will also need a bit of luck for Croatia to go as far as we all know that the mood will depend a lot on the results, but I really believe that we can repeat great things in this championship as wellconcludes Miletić.
