A helicopter with five passengers went missing today, March 27, in Nepal’s Dollaha district, an official of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said.
The Mustang Helicopters helicopter, registered as 9N-ANO, was flying from Charikot to Lapcha when it lost contact during the flight, Xinhua reported.
The aircraft took off at 12:17 local time, and the arrival at the destination was expected around 1:00 p.m., reports Tanjug.
There were five passengers in the helicopter, all citizens of Nepal.
The last known position of the craft was recorded about 21 nautical miles southeast of Langtang in Dolaha district.
“Search and rescue coordination is underway after the helicopter lost contact during flight,” the authority’s information officer Gyanendra Bul told Xinhua.
