Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stressed today during a press conference that, after four days, the US operation against Iran is still in the “early” days as he outlined plans to accelerate the military effort.
– As President Trump said, bigger waves are coming – said Hegseth. “We’re just getting started. We’re speeding up, not slowing down.”
The minister said the aim of the next phase of the military action is for US and Israeli air forces to take “full control of Iran’s skies”, and this is expected to be completed in “less than a week”.

He added that the air force would “find, repair and complete the missiles and defense industrial base of the Iranian military,” as well as Iranian military leaders.
– This was never supposed to be a fair fight and it is not a fair fight – said Hegseth. “We hit them while they’re on the floor, which is exactly how it should be.”
