Heavy rains have been involved in the third week on Tuesday, with at least two people disappeared, and hundreds were evacuated in the southern region Andalusia, where several rivers be poured out or there is a danger to happen.

The Spaniards are still on the edge of patience, after heavy rains four months ago in the eastern Valencia region led to the most deadly natural disaster in the country in decades. Many accused local and national officials that they sent an emergency warnings too late.

Regional leader Andalusia Juan Manuel Moreno called on Tuesday citizens to the ultimate caution.

– Please be very careful, even if the rain stops. The transition over the stream is very dangerous – said Moreno after two people disappeared in the capital of the region, Seville.

Authorities believe the couple tried to cross the gorge and maybe took them a torrent. Their empty car was found overturned nearby.

Andalusian authorities said a total of 368 families were evacuated as a preventive measure in the province of Malaga. In one of the cities, Cartam, about twenty people and their pets were saved from their flooded homes.

In Aguilas, the coastal Mediterranean city in Murcia, the emergency room service saved nine people who were trapped in their cars in the Provalia. Passengers a few boats also assisted in a safe place in the same area.

The unusual series of consecutive storms helped – whose generally sunny time attracts tourists – to end long-lasting drought, and numerous dams now have dropped water to prevent their overflow.

After two weeks of rain, Spanish reservoirs have 65.6 percent of its capacities, above the ten-year average, with an increase of five percent only in the last week.

One British resident, Vernon, wrote on the platform X that his neighbors Spanance saved his bucket.

– Nobody here, including older residents, never seen it raining 19 days from the last 20. Storm, ruthless. All night, “he wrote, reports Reuters.
