The International Football Organization (FIFA) has officially published the list of referees for this year’s World Football Championship in Mexico, Canada and the United States of America, and there is only one Croatian referee on the list.

On the field itself, Croatia will not be represented again by a single judge. At the championship, 52 main judges and 89 assistant judges will administer justice. FIFA carried out the selection process for three years and 50 national associations will have their representative at the championship. This represents the largest number of referees in the history of world championships.
While the Croatian national football team passed the qualifications and went to the championships for decades, except in 2010, when South Africa was the host and won the silver and bronze medals in the last two championships, as a rule, Croatian judges followed the championships exclusively on television.
