Kosanović passed away after a short illness – on his 75th birthday.
He was born on January 4, 1951 in Šidski Banovci, and started playing football in Borovo.
He moved to Sweden in 1971 and won three trophies with Malmo.
He also performed for Zrenjanin Proleter, Vojvodina and Novi Sad, where he ended his career in 1983.
He started his coaching career in Vojvodina, which he led from 1992 to 1995. In two terms, from 1997 to 1998 and during 2007, he led Crvena zvezda, reports b92.
Kosanović, among others, coached Vojvodina, Borac, Crvena zvezda, Wuhan, Dalijan, Olimpija from Ljubljana, Novi Pazar, Radnik, Napredak, Radnički from Niš, Mladost from Lučan, the selection of Malta, as well as the youth national team of Serbia and Montenegro (U21).
