Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called on Thursday for an end to Israel’s bombing of neighboring Lebanon.
– The government of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu is at the center of every crisis in the region – he said at a press conference with his German colleague Johann Wadephul.
– Israel, leading an expansionist policy, is taking advantage of the current conflict to bring its dirty war to Lebanon – he added.
– The Israeli attacks must stop before the Lebanese state collapses – he said, warning that if this happens, it would “profoundly affect the entire region”, especially the neighboring countries.
– The mass displacement of people in Lebanon is “absolutely unacceptable,” said the head of Turkish diplomacy, according to AFP.
