All fourteen fans of Split Hajduk admitted to the Municipal Court in Živinice on Monday that they participated in the January attack on Crvena zvezda supporters.
The court expressly accepted the plea agreement and sentenced them to three months in prison each, thus ending the court process that filled the columns of the black chronicle in the region for weeks.
As their lawyer confirmed for Hina Mirko Lekicin the previous days, negotiations were conducted with the Tuzla County Prosecutor’s Office, and a settlement was reached, according to which the accused pleaded guilty in exchange for a lighter sentence.
The possibility of redeeming the penalty
After the judgment becomes final, the lawyers will initiate the procedure for redemption of the penaltywhich according to the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina is possible in cases where a sentence of up to one year of imprisonment has been imposed.
According to the lawyer, the redemption amount is approx 100 convertible marks (about 50 euros) per day of imprisonment. Given that they had already spent approximately a month in custody, it was estimated that each of the convicts would have to pay a significant amount in order to avoid further time behind bars.

Let us remind you that members of Torcida attacked Red Star fans on January 24, not far from Tuzla International Airport. In a fierce conflict several people were injuredincluding one police officer who intervened at the scene.
After the incident more than 90 people were detainedand, while 14 of them were kept in custody. Of the convicted, eleven have their residence in Croatia, and three in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is expected that, after payment of the stipulated amount, all of them could be released soon.
