LockDown Notice was sent on Saturday afternoon to employees working on Parliament Hill.
They were told to seek shelter immediately in the nearest room, close and lock all the doors and hide.
The CBC News contacted the police and PPS police, but no service listed the reasons for LockDown.
“If you’re not in the immediate vicinity, keep yourself away. Don’t approach areas in LockDown”, she posted PPS. “Wait for further emergency instructions,” they added.

As Radio Canada reports, one man walked around 15 hours to the lobby of the parliament building and uttered threats.
In the first e-mail message, the Parliamentary Security Service (PPS) declared Lockdown in the East Block building at 111 Wellington Street. A little later, around 15:30, the evacuation of the building was ordered, the radio canada adds.
The parliament is currently dissolved due to the federal elections, which means that at parliament hill is very little activity.
Police advertised.
Members of the PPS Security Service and the Ottawe Police are on the field at Parliament Hill because of a man who bunged in the east wing of parliament. There are a large number of police officers in the area, and the east wing is evacuated.
