Egypt is the latest country calling for reducing tensions between Israel and Iran, warning that the conflict could cause regional unrest.
Foreign Minister Egypt Badr Abdelatty requested “urgent ceasefire” during separate telephone conversations with their Iranian counterpart Abbas Aragči and U.S., Middle East Stevy Vitkof.
During the conversation, Abdelatty pointed out the need for “returning negotiations” on the Iranian nuclear program, which, according to him, would be “the only way to a sustainable agreement,” the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also emphasized that “there are no military crisis solutions in the region,” emphasizing the importance of preventing conflicts that would lead to “widespread chaos” and harmed all parties.
