Bosnia and Herzegovina athlete Edin Branković was included among the candidates of the International Skating Union (ISU) for the ISU Athletes Committee.
In the press release from ISU, the world-renowned successes that Branković has achieved so far on the sports field as well as outside it were highlighted.
Among his sports achievements, one of the best athletes in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, top 10 at the World Championship (Junior), gold medal of the Balkan Games, special invitation of the President of the IOC for the 2018 Olympic Games and twelve times semi-finalist and finalist of the World Cup and European Championship (placed in the top 15 and 20).
Among the successes outside the sports fields, the following are highlighted: Doctor of Science from the University of Zagreb and recognized scientific research work, founder of the Academy of Excellence, manager at the European Games and Young Ambassador of the IOC.
– I will strongly advocate for a safe, fair and enjoyable sports experience for competitors where the rules protect athletes and provide them with opportunities for development. In addition, I will be deeply committed to helping athletes prepare for a second career while they are still competing, and to strengthening support for the mental well-being of athletes during the entire sports journey and not only at its end – said Branković.
– This success represents an important recognition for Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as a confirmation of Edin’s excellent results so far on the sports field and outside it, announced the Roller Skating Club “THE ONE”.
