Judge Kahraman suffered serious injuries in the incident, and Kılıçaslan hit her in the groin with a bullet.
Kılıçaslan was about to shoot again, but was stopped by a man serving tea. Kahraman was given first aid at the scene, after which she was rushed to the hospital, where, according to reports, she is in a stable condition.
Kılıçaslan was arrested and was due to be brought before the main court in Istanbul later on Tuesday, reports Euronews.

Of that number, slightly more than 35 percent of women were killed by their husbands.
Human rights organizations warn that the number of deaths classified as suspicious or suicides has been on the rise since Ankara withdrew in 2021 from an international convention on combating violence against women.
That agreement, known as the Istanbul Convention, obliges states to establish laws aimed at preventing and prosecuting violence against women.
