With a sure away victory, the Zagreb club secured first place in the standings and increased their advantage over Hajduk to a big ten points after 25 rounds of the HNL.
It started off great for Dinamo, who took the lead in the 7th minute with a goal by Zajc, and only four minutes later, Vidović scored to make it 2:0.
Dinamo looked absolutely dominant, but in the 28th minute Hajduk got back into the game with a goal by Pukštas. Then the home team launched stronger attacks and it seemed that they were completely “in life”, but the penalty arrived quickly.
It was the 38th minute when Bakrar scored for 3:1, and it will turn out that the game was decided with that goal.
Nothing spectacular was seen in the second half, so Dinamo routinely kept the lead and even missed several opportunities to win with a bigger margin.
11 rounds before the end of the season, Dinamo is very close to winning the title of Croatian champion and returning the trophy to Maksimir, after Rijeka finished in first place last season.
