Dinamo Zagreb players beat Hajduk 2:0 in the big Croatian derby, at the sold-out “Maksimir” in front of 22,000 spectators, in a championship game marked by goals from Monsef Bakrar and Dion Drena Belja, as well as numerous incidents in the stands.
Bakrar put Dinamo in the lead in the 22nd minute after a cross by Josip Mišić, while Beljo confirmed the triumph of the Blues with a header in the 65th minute.
From the very beginning, the match was marked by tension in the stands, with pyrotechnics, cannon shots and mutual provocations by fan groups. On several occasions, there were interruptions and interventions due to flares and burning banners, and the atmosphere overshadowed the game on the field at certain moments.

Hajduk had several opportunities, but without realization, while Dinamo could have achieved a more convincing triumph in the end.
Dinamo, which previously secured the title with this victory, further increased its advantage over the second-placed team from Split.
