The Liberal-Conservative Government of the Czech Prime Minister Petra Fiale survived a vote on mistrust regarding the scandal around the bitchain, only three and a half months before parliamentary elections.
On Wednesday evening in Prague, 94 members of the opposition parties voted for the disbandment of the cabinet. Therefore, no needed most of 101 votes in the lower house of 200 members have been achieved.
The Ministry of Justice recently accepted a gift from the convicted criminal in the form of Bitcoins worth almost 40 million euros ($ 46 million). The opposition then claimed that the donation could come from suspicious or even illegal transactions such as drug trafficking and invited to vote on distrust.
The current ruling coalition consists of four Liberal and Conservative Parties: ODS, KDU-CSL, TOP09 and apartment, after the Pirate Party was expelled from the coalition.
Recent surveys predict victory in October Right Populist Party Ano, led by billionaire and former Prime Minister Andrej Babish.
