Široki Brijeg players won the 25th round derby in Pecara against Sarajevo. Mato Stanić scored a great goal from a free kick in the 54th minute and thus brought an important victory to his team.
The visiting coach shared his impressions after the game Mario Cvitanović and coach of the home team Damir Milanović.
Cvitanović was fine hard to find the right words “after this kind of game and defeat”.
I am very sorry for our players and fans. We all know what this game means to them and that’s why I’m sad, unhappy and disappointed considering that they came in such numbers to support us. I think we controlled everything, we played a good game.

In the first half three times we came out alone in front of the goalkeeper and we didn’t manage to score and then a foul happened from someone’s ball and Stanić scored a fantastic goal. I think that’s the outcome of the whole game, we tried later, but we didn’t succeed. I’m extremely sorry. It seems that we really resented someone. There was no luck there, when you have those situations you have to take advantage or you will be punished. I’m sorry because we Shiroki did not create anythingbut the result is written at the end, stated Cvitanović.
Damir Milanović, on the other hand, he did not hide his pleasure after winning the derby.

A tough game against a good opponent. We prepared for them, we limited them in some good things and in the end we were rewarded by that goal by Mate Stanić, but I would like to praise the whole team. We fight for every ball, out, I take my hat off to them, and on the other side congratulations to this wonderful audienceto our fans and everyone in the club, because if we weren’t all together like that, nothing would work, said Milanović.
