On Wednesday in Koševo, Sarajevo’s football players welcome Velež in the first match of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup quarterfinals.
Sarajevo has a string of six victories, including the Cup, and is looking forward to the meeting with its great rival with great optimism.
Aware of the demands brought by the cup competition, in which passage is decided in two games, the Sarajevo camp emphasizes a serious approach and the need for full concentration.
– A slightly different game awaits us than the one against Posušje. The cup is played in two games and we take the preparation as seriously as possible. We are expecting a tough, hard and dynamic team, which is looking for a lot of duels and has good transitions. We have to be ready for absolutely everything – Sarajevo coach Mario Cvitanović said.
Despite the quality of the opponents, the goal is clear.
– We need to build our game and be the ones who want to win and move on to the next stage of the Cup competition – he added.
The first duel against Velež will be played on Wednesday at 18:30.
