The last section of the A5 highway on the Croatian part of 5C Corridor, from the Beli Manastir to the Hungarian border, and the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that Croatia fully fulfilled its part of the economic development of this part of Europe.
Plenković pointed out that most shares of that corridor be built in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where there is ahead of about 200 miles, and when that part is complete the intensity of the traffic is, as this highway will connect the countries of Central Europe, Hina.
– We made a grove knocking the economic development of this part of Europe. This is especially important for Croatian and Hungary relations, and I think our relations will receive in intensity, that the connection, exchange, economic relations will receive a new and stronger dimension with this project. This road also has its own important political dimension and I am sure that it will contribute to improving the relationship between Croatia and Hungary – the Prime Minister of the Republic of Andrej Plenkovic was assessed.
He also stated that Croatia is aware of its Central European and Danube Identity and that these are the dimensions that connect Croatia and Hungary, through history, today, but also in the future.
He reminded how he was thinking of thinking that only two strips were built instead of a four-speed highway, which would be completely in disagreement with the concept of European Corridor.
– We decided to return that project to the original settings, and I believe that our decision in the future will have far-reaching positive consequences for development and mutual cooperation – Plenković added.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković pointed out that Croatia finished all 88 kilometers of highway today at 5C Corridor.
– After many years, we merged Croatia with Hungary and Central Europe, which is important because there was an idea to give up this project, but we made the decision to go to the completion of the full-course of the Corridor VC through Croatia – said Butković.
According to him, it is all the result of the investment cycle in traffic infrastructure, which in Croatia today is at a very good level.
– We remain building fast roads to individual continentiary centers and in Split, and then invest the most in the railway infrastructure – Butković said.
