Representatives HKK Wide TT Cablesafter winning the ABA 2 league and returning to the regional elite, talked with the leadership of HDZ BiH about the new season, plans and future of the club.
President HDZ BiH dr. Dragan Covic and vice president of the party Darijana Filipović they received a delegation on Wednesday HKK Wide TT Cablesa club that is by conquest ABA 2 leagues won a return to ABA league after 12 years.
The delegation of the current champion of the ABA 2 league was led by the captain of the team Josip Bilinovachead of the basketball school prof. Ph.D. Mate Brekaloclub director Igor Jelčićmember of the Management Board Eugen Susak and club president Ante Suton.
At the meeting, they discussed the club’s work, organization, plans for the upcoming season, and the continued development of one of the most recognizable sports teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Return to the ABA league after 12 years
Special emphasis was placed on the great sporting success of HKK Široki, which was achieved by winning ABA 2 leagues won a return to the elite regional competition.
That result was evaluated as a confirmation of the dedicated work of the players, the professional staff and the club’s management, but also of the continuity of sporting successes that Široki has been achieving for many years.
Throughout its history, HKK Široki has won numerous titles of champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BiH Cups and built the status of one of the most successful basketball clubs in the country.
Support for further development of the club
During the meeting, they also discussed the importance of sports in promoting positive values, unity and representation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian people through regional and international competitions.
Čović and Filipović expressed their support for the further work and development of the club, especially ahead of the new season in which HKK Široki expects to return to the highest regional basketball rank.
