Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Zenica-Doboj Canton has announced a tender for the purchase of a multipurpose helicopter, which begins the realization of one of the most important security projects in this canton, reports Akta.ba.
The subject of the procurement includes a helicopter that must not be older than three years, with associated equipment and crew training.
According to the tender documentation, the estimated value of the procurement is 7,008,974.36 KM without VAT, which with a total value of 17% reaches the total value of approximately 8,210,500 KM.
The helicopter will serve for different tasks, including the transport of people and equipment, medical evacuation, reconnaissance and extinguishing fires. Specifications require a minimum speed of 220 km / h, a range of at least 600 km, capacity for six people, and fire extinguishing equipment and medical support.
In addition, the aircraft must also be equipped with a fire extinguisher – type Bambi Bucket or equivalent solution – as well as the possibility of adaptation for medical transport.
Given the financial framework (about 8.2 million KM with VAT) and the scope of the requested specifications, the Airbus H125 (former AS350 écureuil) seems like the most likely candidate.
Bids can be submitted by 7. June 2025. years, and the deadline for the delivery of helicopters is 12 months from signing the contract.
This initiative comes at a time when natural disasters, such as fire and flood, are increasingly frequent, and adequate response resources are often missing.
