Croatian striker Bruno Petkovic is back in the Turkish media spotlight after it became clear that his relationship with Kocaelispor has entered a serious crisis.
As İZsports found out, Petković officially sent the club a legal warning due to unpaid debts, and the situation became complicated after Kocaelispor did not want to fulfill a key condition of the player.
Namely, Petković and the club reached a verbal agreement that the warning will be withdrawn, but the Croatian representative asked for a written guarantee that the money owed to him will indeed be paid. Kocaelispor rejected that request, which is why the agreement was never officially signed.
This means that the warning is still in effect and that the club is at serious risk. If Kocaelispor does not pay all the debt to Petković in the next 10 days, the player will have the right to terminate the contract unilaterally and leave without compensation.
The situation between Bruna Petković and Kocaelispor is increasingly tense, and the Croatian striker could very soon become a free agent. According to information from the Turkish media, Petković officially sent the club a warning due to the debt, and the attempt to reach a peaceful agreement has so far failed.
Kocaelispor is not making any announcements for now, while Turkish sources state that relations between the player and the club are close to breaking point.
