The basketball players of Bosnia BH Telecom defeated Igoke in Laktaši with a score of 66:73 in the match of the 3rd round of the Top 8 phase of the ABA League.
After an even first part of the game, the Students made the key difference in the last quarter, when they reached a safe lead with a series of points and finally a well-deserved victory.
The first quarter brought an even game, and ended with a score of 17:17. In the continuation, Igokea had a little more concentration in the attack and went to halftime with a 34:31 advantage.
The third section was again uncertain. Bosnia took the lead on several occasions, but Igokea had a minimal advantage of 49:48 before the last ten minutes.
In the decisive quarter, Bosnia played much better. Plummer hit an important 3-pointer for the turnaround, and then Young and Joesaar increased the lead for the visitors.
The key moment happened in the end when Šalić found Plummer with a long pass, who scored for Bosnia’s double-digit advantage 66:55, which practically solved the question of the winner.
Until the end of the match, Igoke was unable to seriously threaten, so the Students celebrated the victory and thus ended the series of defeats.
With this triumph, Bosnia achieved an important victory in the Top 8 phase of the regional competition.
