The European Union warned Bosnia and Herzegovina that it is necessary to urgently adopt two laws, as well as to establish a register of real owners of legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because otherwise our country will again be on the gray list of Moneyval, i.e. FATF (International Anti-Money Laundering Group), and there is still time until the end of February, i.e. another month.
On January 15, we asked the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina for an answer to the questions whether the necessary two laws have been prepared (the law on confiscation and management of assets and the law on targeted financial sanctions for terrorism, financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction), when the laws could be before the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and why they have not been so far. We have not received an answer. The Ministry of Security is headed by Deputy Minister of Security Ivica Bošnjak (HDZ).
The same questions are asked by state parliamentarians, but they have not yet received an answer.
At the last session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 22, Denis Zvizdić (NiP), deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, raised a question regarding the real danger of returning BiH to the gray list of the FATF, i.e. Moneyvala, warning that such developments would have serious consequences for BiH, especially business entities, banks, payment transactions, investments, and the credibility of the state. The question about the dynamics of the adoption of the law and the establishment of the register was asked by the chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto (HDZ), who was not at the chamber session, so her answer is still awaited.
What is known is that at the session of the BiH Council of Ministers on January 26, this problem and the issue of the necessary laws were not mentioned at all.
– We did not discuss it today. I expect that at the next session, which will be held, I think in 14 days – said Edin Forto (Our Party), Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after the session.
When asked how to adopt laws that must go through a complete procedure by the end of February, from the BiH Council of Ministers, which have not yet reached the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Forto answered that they have repeatedly convinced themselves that it is possible to adopt key laws with express speed and that everything is a matter of will.

Two days ago, after the session of the Council of Ministers, Kristo tried to answer the question of when they could expect two laws.
– In some way, I saw from the media that there are some obligations for the adoption of the law. Today we adopted the Work Program of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and each department submitted its proposals. Some asked why some obligations were not included in the proposal. It does not mean that if something is not in the program, it does not have to be adopted by the Council of Ministers. I hope that the departments responsible for that area will do everything to offer it to the Council of Ministers. I assume that there are working groups that consider the laws and that they will be submitted to the Council of Ministers when they are prepared – said Kristo, reports Factor.
