Already tonight, Zenica could celebrate the return of its club to the company of the best.
The match against TOŠK will be played at Bila polje from 5:00 p.m., which could be crucial for confirming the title in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After 21 rounds played, Čelik is the leader of the championship with 46 points, while Stupčanica is in second place with ten points less, i.e. 36 points won.
The calculation for returning to the elite is clear. Čelik needs a win against TOŠK, but also a defeat of Stupčanica on the road at Tomislav, which plays its match at the same time.
In the event that Čelik triumphs and reaches 49 points, and Stupčanica wins at least one point, the celebration would be postponed until the next round, when the team from Zenica visits Tuzla City.
The reason is the mutual ratio. If at the end of the season two teams would have the same number of points, Stupčanica would have the advantage, which is better in mutual duels. Čelik won 2:1 at Bilina polje, while it was defeated 3:1 in Olovo.
Therefore, only the defeat of Stupčanica today brings the final confirmation of the championship title of Čelika.
Nevertheless, the people of Zenica have reason for optimism, because Tomislav is also fighting for survival and points are extremely important to them.
A full stadium, great support from the fans and, possibly, the beginning of the celebrations that have been waiting in Zenica for eight years are expected at Bila Polje.
