In the article entitled “The consisting of humanity in the test in Gaza”, Erdogan accused Israel to implement the systematic policy of destruction of Palestinians.
– Humanitarian tragedy taking place in the Gaza belt should not be seen only as a conflict limited to the narrow geography; It should be viewed as a humanitarian catastrophe that wounds the collective conscience of humanity and is deepened every day. Israeli bombing focused on women, children and the elderly, making cities uninhabited. Houses, hospitals, schools and religious facilities are destroyed, and basic services such as food, water, health care and electricity are in collapse. Hunger, thirst and the risk of infectious diseases make gauze in complete humanitarian collapse. To date, more than 61,000 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks, most of which are women and children. This situation is a clear indicator not only the war but also systematic destruction policies – written by Erdogan.
Erdogan emphasizes that double Western standards, which reacts quickly to other crises, but according to Gaza occupies an ambivalent attitude, undermine the international order. He sees the crisis as a test of the will of the international community to defend the fundamental human value.
– Faced with such a gloomy image, silence of the world or its weak answers only deepen suffering and open the path of the oppression resume. The fact is that, fast and comprehensive sensitivity, which is shown according to the crisis in Ukraine, also shown to crimes in Gaza, the situation we are facing today would be completely different. The ability of Israel to act without any sanctions accelerated the erosion of international law and human rights norms. The crisis in Gaza stands in front of us as a litmus test whether the international community is willing and capable of maintaining the most basic human values – he stated.
The Turkish president points out that Turkey, from the very beginning, showed a determined, consistent and principled attitude to end crimes and growing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
– Our presidency for disaster and emergency management (AFAD), the Turkish red crescent and our independent organizations are actively working on the ground and despite all obstacles, food, medications and medical materials are submitted to the region with the support of the Bratial Nations nearby. The wounded inhabitants of Gaza are evacuated and treated in Turkey. These efforts to help not only deal with urgent needs, but also show the world that the people of gauze is not alone. On the diplomatic front, our calls on the ceasefire continue within the United Nations and organizations of Islamic cooperation, and our breeding efforts between Palestinian groups are in progress – he pointed out.
At the NATO summit held in The Hague on June 25, he emphasized, that the fragile truce must be transformed into lasting peace, warning that “Gaza has no time to waste.”
– I am openly Israeli attacks and the policy of collective punishment, which neglects international law, defined as genocide. We work closely, especially with Qatar, on humanitarian approach issues, resort negotiations and renovation. We appreciate the leading role of Qatar in facilitating humanitarian aid and improving diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the massacre. Violence in Gaza threatens not only the Palestinian people but also the stability of the entire region. Tensions between Israel and Iran increase the risk of wider conflict, with the potential to disrupt the security balance from the eastern Mediterranean to the Persian Bay. The deepening of the crisis represents serious threats in the form of new waves of displacement, increased radicalization and energy security risks. The issue of gauze, therefore, is not only a humanitarian crisis, but also a matter of strategic importance for global security and peace, “Erdogan wrote.
According to his allegations, the path to the solution is, in essence, clear, the current ceasefire must be declared and all attacks must be stopped unconditionally. According to the humanitarian corridors must also open to ensure the smooth delivery of food, water and medical assistance, and international mechanisms for the protection of civilians must be established.
– Turkey is ready to serve as an actor in shaping this process. War crimes and human rights violations must be investigated before the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice; The perpetrators must respond before the law. Humanitarian organizations, especially UNRWA, which Israel pressure must receive sustainable resources. The renovation of the gauze must not be limited to the renovation of destroyed structures; It must be developed into a comprehensive process that protects the rights to education, health care, infrastructure, economic development and political representation. This process should be implemented with the direct participation of the local population and under the supervision of the United Nations and regional organizations. The foundation of the permanent peace lies in the recognition of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with protected territorial integrity.
