The Slovenian company “Viaduct” sued Bosnia and Herzegovina because the Serbian Government was terminated by the Concession Agreement, and the debt was determined in the amount of 110 million KM. However, today the deadline for the payment of that debt today, which means that it will be more than two million KM from tomorrow.
The plaintiff offered the BiH Council of Ministers for debt payments until 17. June this year. That day came, but the BiH Council of Ministers did not find a solution.
The reason for this is not a solution that ministers from the RS require that the payment is made from the state level, which is unacceptable to the Federation of BiH, which this entity did not even participate in the debt.
The Chair of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krylo claims that the only solution for “ViaDuct” is the adoption of the budget that defines that debt pays some of state institutions. But all that is the solution, in which RS would need to sue later, so that the FBiH would receive money from that entity, the budget for 2025. year cannot be adopted due to other political disagreements.
Therefore, regardless of the solution, the debt “Viaduct” is higher by two million KM, and every day will grow for 18,873 km awarded interest.
The Commission for the fight against corruption and finance of the representative house of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was questioned a few days ago by representatives of institutions involved in resolving the dispute with “Viaduct”.
The State Ombudsman MANDIĆ, who was involved in the case, responded to the issues of members of the Commission, during which he expressed doubt that the very concession itself was “scam” with the aim of the individuals.
“What I was bothered when I read the lawsuit is that kind of relaxation. When the offer came to address the issue, then all former presidents of the government and ministers were.”
That is why he said, told the Minister in the RS government Petro Djokic (Socialist Party) that he was not going through the intermediary and that the most preferred agreement with the Law House “Viaduct”.
