This year’s panelists were Erol Mujanović, founder of Sarajevo Marathon, Kristijan Sindik, director of marathon races in Split and Boka, and Timur Čerkez, triathlete and representative of Rolla.
From personal experience, they spoke about the organization of races, contemporary trends and the development of racing events, emphasizing their importance for economic and touristic growth and the development of local communities.
At the conference, awards were given to runners who participated in all previous editions of the Mostar Half Marathon, thus confirming their continuity and dedication.
The awards were presented by the head of the Cabinet of the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Ana Vlašić, who emphasized the importance of such events for the community.
The award winners, along with certificates of appreciation, also received a lifetime free registration fee for participation in the Mostar Run Weekend, and among them are Amela Trožić, Belma Baralija, Bojan Andrić, Dijana Manderalo, Drago Zovko, Ivana Gudelj, Ivana Zovko, Ivo Primorac, Jadranko Alilović, Marko Buljan, Sanjin Kulak, Vedran Markotić, Velimir Gavran and Zoran Kutle.
The organizers said that such individuals are the foundation of the development of the running community and that Mostar Run Weekend outgrows a sports event and becomes a platform that connects sports, economy and community and contributes to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the development of Mostar as a regional center of sports events.
