Iran’s foreign minister accused the United States and Israel on Friday of fueling the country’s growing protest movement, while ruling out direct foreign military intervention after US warnings of a crackdown on protesters.
– This is what the Americans and Israelis have said, that they are directly intervening in the protests in Iran – said Minister Abbas Araghchi during his visit to Lebanon.
– They are trying to transform peaceful protests into divisive and violent ones – he said, adding that, “as for the possibility of a military intervention against Iran, we believe that this is unlikely because their previous attempts were complete failures”, reports AFP.
