Široki’s basketball players celebrated in the last game of the regular part of the ABA League 2 by defeating the MZT team with a score of 111:109, but only after overtime. Although the home team led practically throughout the game, the spectators watched the very uncertain ending of a great game at Pecara.
It should be emphasized that the MZT team needed a victory tonight at Pecara, but s by a certain basket-difference. The visitors tried to overcome the home team all the time, and they needed it 14 point difference for placement in the play-off phase of the competition.
Great beat established by both teams from the very beginning. The home team opened the match better and held a single-digit lead for most of the first quarter, but MZT takes the lead three minutes before the end (16:17).
