The deadline for submitting candidate lists for the upcoming October General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina has expired.
After the Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina carries out checks, the Central Voter List will be locked on August 20. The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will publish all verified candidate lists by August 20 in the daily press, in official newspapers and on the website www.izbori.ba.
It is worth pointing out that the majority of political entities in our country waited for the last moment to submit their candidate lists.
Previously, HDZ BiH, DF, People’s Front, SDP BiH, SDA, Our Party, SDS and the Coalition for the State submitted their candidate lists.
Lists were also submitted by Nebojša Vukanović on behalf of the List for Justice and Order, for the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Presidency of BiH, as well as the applications of the List for Justice and Order of Nebojša Vukanović and the PDP of the Republika Srpska for the National Assembly of the RS.
HDZ 1990 President Ilija Cvitanović said today that they have submitted candidate lists for all levels of government for the upcoming General Elections to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that they submitted lists of candidates for the positions of vice president of the RS, the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for all federal constituencies and for seven cantonal constituencies. HDZ 1990 is in the coalition of the “Croatian five”, which also consists of HRS, HNP, HSS and HDS, which jointly nominated Zdenko Lučić for the Presidency of BiH.
The Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina lists for all levels of government in the upcoming general elections, including the position of member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from among the Bosniak people.
The Narod i Pravda party also submitted candidate lists, confirmed the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy and the political director of the party, Adnan Delić.
And the president of the BH Zeleni party, Sevlid Hurtić, submitted the candidate lists to the CEC today. Representatives of the Red Line Political Organization also submitted lists. The Red Lines will offer citizens candidates for the cantonal, federal and state parliaments in the electoral units of Canton Sarajevo and Tuzla Canton, and for the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica-Doboj and Herzegovina-Neretva cantons, the party announced.
75 political parties, 29 coalitions and four independent candidates will take part in the General Election, it says Zenit.
