A large fire broke out in a carpentry workshop inside a military base in eastern Tehran on Friday, with smoke visible across the Iranian capital. Fire crews managed to put out the fire, and there were no injuries, Iranian news agencies reported.
The semi-official Mehr news agency said the workshop was located in a military complex linked to the Joint Staff of Iran’s armed forces, without providing further details.
Nour News, a portal close to the state agency, said the fire led to “wide sharing of photos from east Tehran on social networks, under the title ‘Tehran explosion’.”
