Association Zvončica Mostar organizes the promotion of the first inclusive picture book and coloring book authored by a boy on the autism spectrum, Šimun Petar.
The promotion will take place on Friday, March 20, starting at 5 p.m. in Mepas Mallas an introduction to his performance at the Mostar Half Marathon.
This initiative combines sport and creativity with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of inclusion in the local community. Šimun Petar, who comes to Mostar to run the race, with his example, he wants to show that the diagnosis does not determine the limits of possibilities.
President of the Zvončica Association Nives Nikolic she pointed out that cooperation with Šimun Petra sends a strong message to all parents and institutions. According to her, the goal is to encourage young people not to give up on their dreams and show that there is enough room in the world for everyone, regardless of differences.

Sport is an excellent example that everyone can and should have the opportunity to participate and feel the charm of competition. Šimun Petar teaches us that we can “jump” over obstacles. when there is determination, will and desire to help, said Nives Nikolić.
During the promotion, visitors will be able to buy a special edition of the picture book, and part of the proceeds will go to the Blue Ribbon association. The very next day, March 21, Šimun Petar will become the youngest child on the autism spectrum to run a half marathonwhile pushing a stroller with children who cannot move independently.
Association Zvončica has been actively working for three years to improve the standards of children and young people through education, festivals and projects. With this event, Mostar once again becomes a center for promoting empathy and understanding towards people with developmental disabilities.
