Civil protection in Gaza said that Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday have killed 32 Palestinians, including children and women.
Five Palestinians – three children and two women – were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike that hit a residential apartment in the Rimal neighborhood in the western part of Gaza City, medical sources told Anadolu.
Seven more Palestinians — a man, his three sons and three minor grandchildren — were killed in a second Israeli airstrike that hit a tent for displaced people in the Asda area, northwest of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, according to paramedics at Nasser Hospital.
Several Palestinians were also wounded in an Israeli attack on a residential building in al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, witnesses said.
Israeli warplanes also carried out an air strike on al-Jalaa Street, northwest of Gaza City, as well as two strikes east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, with no reported casualties.
According to the report of the Anadolu correspondent, an Israeli warplane hit the administrative building of the “Ghaith” camp, which houses hundreds of displaced persons, near the Al-Ribat College, on Street 2, in the Al-Mawasi area near Khan Younis.
The correspondent stated that the attack was preceded by a warning from the Israeli army to evacuate, as well as an earlier strike by an Israeli drone.
The Palestinian Civil Defense in Khan Younis said its teams “brought under control the fire that broke out in the tents of displaced persons in the Ghaith camp” after the attack by warplanes.
According to the statements of eyewitnesses reported by Anadolu, the attack caused great material damage, with some tents completely destroyed.
In a separate attack, the Gaza Interior Ministry said Israeli warplanes targeted the Sheikh Radwan police station, west of Gaza City, killing and wounding a number of police and service members.
A medical source told Anadolu that 13 Palestinians were killed in the attack on the Sheikh Radwan police station.
According to Civil Protection data, four female police officers were among the dead.
Eyewitnesses stated that they are searching for several missing persons who are believed to be under the ruins of the affected building.
A medical source also stated that three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a house in al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
One Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire east of Jabaliya in northern Gaza, another medical source said.
The Israeli army, however, claims in a statement that it targeted four members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as infrastructure belonging to those groups in the Gaza Strip.
On Friday, the Israeli army killed five Palestinians in separate incidents.
Since the ceasefire took effect in early October, Israeli actions have killed 524 Palestinians and wounded 1,360 others, with a total of 1,450 reported violations of the agreement, the Gaza Press Office said Saturday.
In this regard, the Office stated that since the beginning of the ceasefire, the Israeli army has arrested 50 Palestinians, from areas far from the so-called “yellow line”, as well as from residential areas.
When it comes to the humanitarian protocol, it was stated that Israel allowed the entry of 28,927 trucks with humanitarian aid, goods and fuel, out of a total of 66,600 trucks provided for in the agreement, which represents a compliance rate of 43 percent.
The agreement ended Israel’s two-year war in which nearly 71,800 Palestinians were killed and more than 171,400 wounded. About 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure was destroyed in the attacks, while the United Nations estimates that reconstruction costs will amount to about $70 billion.
