Each accommodation facility has separate heating, and migrants are provided with 24-hour health care. The N1 team visited the Ušivak migrant camp today and spoke with the camp’s users, as well as the coordinator Anes Dinarević.
Dinarević states that out of a total of 800 places in the camp, 138 migrants are currently staying in the reception center. The conditions, he says, are satisfactory – from hygiene and health to safety. Funding and food are provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), while security is the result of good cooperation between the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH and the cantonal MUP.
He adds that it is a camp intended for vulnerable categories, such as unaccompanied minors and families with children, and that it is an extremely peaceful camp where users help each other. Currently, the largest number of users are from Egypt and Afghanistan, but families from Iran, Ghana and Uganda also stay in the camp. N1 BiH.
