The coach of Zrinjski, Igor Štimac, announced on Facebook after the name-calling that appeared in the public, saying that the “spiritualists” use every opportunity to attack the club.
After draw with Velež and criticism of the game of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, Štimac expressed in the publication cross section of the last four months of working with the Nobles, looking back at the results, the rhythm of 26 games in 120 days, the possibility of historic success and the financial impact of European performances.

So I’ll take the small one a break from watching Rakow and address all of you who benevolently and maliciously follow our CROATIAN SPORTS CLUB ZRINJSKI. And I won’t mention fatigue, injuries and viruses…
Analysis of what has been achieved from our first game against the Icelandic Briedablik on 8/7 until the game with Velež on 12/7, so for a period of 4 months or a total of 120 days of work with my “nobles” it looks like this:
We played a total of 26 games in 120 days, so on average one game every 4.5 days in which time we had only one chance to refresh the team during the national team break, while in the other 2 periods of national team gatherings we played back-to-back games.
They fell one after the other Sarajevo, Borac, Željo, Velež, after 10 full years and Široki na Pecara, Lincoln, Hacken… and they all fell with the unsparing fight, will, enthusiasm and quality play of our players.
As in any sport, there were a few weaker dayswhich is quite normal considering the rhythm that accompanies us, because it must be admitted that many of our players have never felt what and how much effort it is.
With all that, of all the clubs in the league, we give ours the most minutes young players firmly convinced that time is working for them and that they will only grow together with the club over time.
U 26 games played we achieved:
- 15 victories (BRIEDABLIK, LINCOLN, HACKEN, 1 in the BiH Cup, 11 in the championship)
- 6 draws (Utrecht and Briedablik in the playoffs for the Euroleague and 4 in the championship)
- 5 defeats (UTRECHT in the playoffs, MAINZ and DINAMO KIEV in the conf. league, and 2 in the domestic competition).
By placing in the conference league, we earned our club more than 6,000,000 euros with their performances, and with the current 6 points won in the victories against Lincoln and Hacken, we have a very real chance of achieving historic success and placing in the elimination phase of the competition in the conference league.
In the championship, we are firmly in the 2nd position with only 3 points behind Borce, who does not have the burden of playing in the European competition, and who was also eliminated in the domestic cup by our Kruševo.
We also have an 11-point lead and a game less than third-placed Sarajevo.
We are a team with least goals conceded in the championship, only 10 in 17 games and the second most efficient team in the league.
We won the total 73% of possible points in the leaguewhile clubs from HR participating in the group stage of European competitions, such as Dinamo and Rijeka, hold the first place with 67% of the points won (Dinamo), and Rijeka is only 6th with 43% of the points won.
Napoli and Arsenal are first in Italy and England with 73% of points won, Lens in France with 75%.
And no one, really nobody helped “our” Zrinjski in these achievements, apart from ourselves (players, club employees and management) with our hard work and faith in what we do, and our loyal fans, our “Ultras” and those others who always come to the stadium no matter what the weather is and who the opponent is.
And there are a lot of them that we they get stuck in the legwherever and however they arrive…
